Positive Pregnancy Test

So I didnt monthly ritual and pee'd on a stick to see if I was pregnant. I finished get ready for dinner and checked the test.

There was a very dark pink line indicating that indeed I WAS PREGNANT!

I was in shock, I was excited, I almost couldn't believe it. "I HAVE TO TELL MY HUSBAND"! Quickly, I began to think of a game plan to tell Michael, a romantic game plan of course.

So I suggested in front of the others, that we should take a walk down to the beach before dinner. Michael however didnt think that was a good idea since we just flew in and havent really visited with the bride and groom. I had to make plea and use the magic word "please". He obliged.

So we began walking down the beautiful courtyard under the tall palm trees toward the beautifully blue Caribbean Sea. It was so romantic. I asked him how much he loved me to set the tone, :) I then pulled out the pregnancy test and told him we we're pregnant!

"Are you sure?, Are you serious?" he asked. His eyes began to swell with tears of happiness, it was all very cute!

We were indeed happy and felt blessed. We made a committment to everynight thank our Lord for the blessings he had just given us.

Just to be safe

Well we arrived in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico, four days after the disappointing spotting I had. But then I began to realize that the Saturday spotting was the only real indication of a menstrual cycle.

Since we are obviously about to indulge into some celebrating for the wedding we were attending, I suggested taking a pregnancy test. Michael felt it was a good idea too.

We got ready to meet the other early wedding guests downstairs and Michael went ahead of me to distract my primping time. Alone by myself, I decided to take the test without Michael since I didnt want him to be disappointed all week during his vacation. He was the #1 believer in this monitor and that his NEW STRATEGY would work this month.

Not this month....

So I didnt have much faith in this month, maybe I was tired of ALL the stuff I was doing to get pregnant. Maybe I was finally listening to everyone saying that if when I would stop stressing over it, "it will happen". If I had dollar for everytime I heard that......

Needless to say, when we're at Daisy pool party for the kids, I was not very disappointed when I began spotting. I told Michael that I begun my menstural cycle and he was a little sad.

I said that will just have a good time on our vacation to Playa Del Carmen and become refreshed when we come back.

Peak Days

Well I received high fertile days (peak is the highest) with the fertility montior on Friday but I had a feeling it was too soon and the monitor was being safe. So Sunday, another high fertile day, we got to work.

On Monday, I received my first peak day with the fertility monitor. Since I had a mirgaine that day and had to stay home from work, we took advantage of the alone time, if you know what I mean.

I received another peak day on Tuesday and down to a high day on Wednesday. So what this means that I mostly ovulated on Monday or Tuesday.

However my old faithful, OPK sticks said I would ovulate on Wednesday. We worn out on Tuesday! Determined to get pregnant Michael and I danced on Wednesday!

We took a break

Michael and I took a needed break for trying to conceive until after the new year. I had backed off of the all the tedious tracking I was doing.

Then in March, Michael was overwhelmed with a feeling to do more in your road to pregnancy. He had two friends deliver cute little baby boys in February that I think helped push his desire up a notch. Also his younger cousin announced his pregnancy and he was truly happy for him.

Michael purchased the Clear Blue Easy Fertility Monitor recommended by Audrey. Of course I returned it to Walgreens and got it for half-price on ebay, brand new and unopened!

We read the book and all the instructions for daily sample times, etc. It was a little bit to learn all the new stuff but it didnt hurt to try something new.

Michael believes that we will get pregnant the first month of this devices use. I try to settle his hopes in that the fact the booklet tells you it will take one cycle before the monitor gets used to your body, etc.

It was a happy little week :)

Well I have miscarried since I told Michael that we were pregnant. It was a week to the day I told him, but it was a happy little week though! We were definitely gleaming at the thought of a little baby to come.

The evening of Sunday October 21st, I went to the restroom and found bright red blood, my heart sank and I guess I let out a little scream as Michael came in. I was speechless and he really don't want to tell him as he was much more excited that I could have hoped for. I simply said, I am bleeding. After a few tears I scoured the Internet and found hope as I was not cramping and 50% of women experience some bleeding during their pregnancy. No cramping was good sign but cervix felt sore.

The next morning, more blood and now uterus cramps. I was definitely having a miscarriage. I wanted to leave work so bad as it was painful, I was sad and work was tough. Somehow I trucked on and stayed until 7pm that night. What the craze!

Now its Wednesday, Michael and I have returned from the doctor's office. Dr. Jurney said the miscarriage is complete and no D&C is required. We must wait two cycles to try and conceive again. The good thing is that since I have had one chemical and one miscarriage she offered to run tests on blood work to be sure their are no abnormalities or chromosome issues, etc. So that was good news to me since most doctors require three miscarriages before testing.

I really like our new obstetercian and the office was very nice, clean and a positive environment. Its an all female clinic, doctors, nurses, etc. That usually scares me that there is more serious estrogen problems in one clinic full of women but I it was actually very comforting. Especially when she shared that she too has miscarried and that she will get us pregnant soon!

Well I guess we must wait some more.....UGH

How I surprised Michael!

I asked Micahel for a romantic candlelight dinner on October 14th for Sunday night since I was flying out for four days to Argentina on Monday morning. He obliged.

I set up the formal dinning area with china, candles, etc while he was watching Sunday night football. I made two plates at a pottery party awhile back with a stork and baby drawn on the center of each plate. I painted one PINK and purple that said Sorola Sugar. The second plate I painted BLUE with green that said Sorola Spice. How did I get so creative? I stole the idea from the example at the store....

I baked his favorite cake in a heart shaped pans and placed a single layer on each plate, then I hid them both. The idea was for him to eat to the center of the plate, see the stork with baby and me say "we're pregnant".

So when he went to pick up our take out dinner, LOL, I set up the video camera across the hall to video the entire thing.

When he returned and saw the setup and me pouring caffine free diet coke, he asked ARE YOU PREGNANT? Just tell me! I couldnt stop laughing and some how I brought myself together and said: You're making me feel bad that I am not pregnant and I am going to cry if you continue....that stopped him in his tracks. Then when we were eating and I was serving him, he said again: What is going on, you are being TOO nice lately! I was like What The Heck does that mean. But I just laughed it off since we were on camera.

Eventually he got down to the middle of the cake and I gave him a "we're expecting" card with the digital HPT that said "pregnant". We kissed, high fived and opened a bottle of champagne. It worked awesome, I loved it.

Of course, he said he knew something was up the whole time.....Then I told him he was being recorded the whole time too!

ITS OFFICAL, WE ARE PREGNANT!

So this morning, Sunday October 14th, also National Children's Day, I sneeked into the bathroom and took a digital pregnancy test and it said:

PREGNANT

How exciting! So all day I have been thinking about how I am going to surprise Michael. I am definitely going to use the two plates I made at a Diva Pottery Party that I went to, they are too cute! Each one has a stork and baby, also one is pink decorated with script that says Sorola Sugar, and the blue one says Sorola Spice.

So I have set Michael, I asked if we could have a romantic candlelight dinner tonight since I fly to Argentina in the morning for four days. He said yes.

I am thinking about video taping.....

Darker line today on OPK

Michael is out of town this Saturday morning. So I thought I would test another OPK strip since like I said I have 10 of them. Well I must admit I am pretty excited to see the line did indeed get darker. Could this mean that I am pregant? Certainly hope so but the line is still faint.

I will buy a real home pregnancy test and use FMU tomorrow. Stay tuned....

No HPT, lets try an OPK

Well, its Friday and today is my day to bring breakfast for the office. Since I was bummed out yesterday, Michael bought all the ingredients, I chopped and he baked TWO mexican breakfast cassorles, what a sweet man. Everyone loved the creation.

Since I am out of HPTs and I have about 10 OPKs I decieded test one. No positive line. After awhile there was a faint line but since I have to squint to see it, its most likely an evaporation line.

I just need to accept the fact that I am not pregnant this month and stay positive. I mean sheesh its only been three months! Frustrated but definetly not depressed and out of the game yet.

Okay this is starting be no fun at all

So I took the last pregnancy I had on this morning, Thursday October 11th and it was negative. I have been bummed out all the day long as I was really hoping this month would be "the month".

Another BFN!

Well I tested on Thusday October 11th, 10 days past ovulation and I received a big fat negative. Even though my cycle isnt due for three more days, I thought I might see a positive this early since in the first month TTC, I received a faint positive at 10DPO. Oh well, I didn't think our timing was that great this month any how.

Third Month TTC

So we are in our third month trying to conceive our first little baby. Michael seems pretty excited about the process, he has come long way since earlier this year. I guess you could, "he got with the program"!

This month our intercourse timing was not at its best. First of all, we could hold off any longer and we were intimate on Friday night, September 28th. Then I was evaluating my temperatures and I had a big drop on Saturday (indicating ovulation) so we got after again. Thinking we were set, we "cooled off" on Sunday. On Monday I had another temperature drop and some others sign that indicated I was ovulating on Monday. Completely confused but we watch Monday night football and then Michael and I kicked a field goal and passed for a touchdown in our bedroom :)

Staying positive but intercourse timing this month....not so good.

Sorry its been so long

Sorry its been so long since I have posted, if I had waited another week it would have been a month.

So obviously I received another set of negative pregnancy tests. These were really negative, no faint line to them at all. I am going to chalk this one up as an unfriendly sex environment, thats my technical excuse and I am sticking to it.

In July/August I received a faint line on an early pregnancy test which is technically a positive. However aunt flow came to visit three days later and experts refer to this as a chemical pregnancy; a fertilized egg that does not implant entirely. Who knows? But at least I know we can get pregnant.

ON TO MONTH THREE!

Second BFN (Big Fat Negative)

Today, I received my second bfn when I took a home pregnancy test this morning. I am currently 10 DPO which could be a little early to test but there are many women who receive a positive test on or before 10 DPO. I haven't given up hope yet especially since this month I saw a dip in my temperature around 7 DPO, which sometimes indicates implantation of the embryo into the uterus wall. Some say this is just a myth though. Regardless, I will test again in two days at 12 DPO and again until Aunt Flow decides to visit.....if she does.

So much for a chilling...time to dance!

So much for chilling, the next day after my last post (Thursday August 30th) I got a positive OPK. I received another one on Friday, which meant that more than likely I was to ovulate on Saturday September 1st.

Unfortunately, we were out of town on Saturday. We went to MSU Soccer Alumni weekend in Wichita Falls, Texas. More importantly, we had hotel roommates with Junior and Jill. Of course, Michael and I made the best of the situation. We tried to get as much baby dancing in on Friday through Monday and it was alot fun, well for me anyway LOL!

Chilling....

Well its been a slow week since my last post, not too much going on in terms of TTC. Michael even asked if I still wanted a little baby, he said I have talked about it too much lately.

We spent time with some friends on Friday for Yvonne's birthday. Hung out with Michael's parents Saturday and Sunday, completed some major cleaning. We finally had our back splash in the kitchen completed, I was so happy and excited, like a kid in a candy store. Yesterday we had High Definition satellite installed, our little house is becoming cozier and cozier.

Today I will start my ovulation predictor kits to determine our four day ovulation window. Lets get it funky, lets get it funky....woo hoo!

Husband is on board!

Michael has told me recently that he would like to be more involved in my charting process, he wants to learn and be supportive. So I thought great but I didn't want to throw him in too deep, since its really just satisfying my obsessiveness. Yesterday, Tuesday, Michael met me for lunch and afterwards he went to Barnes & Nobles. Apparently he picked up two books on fatherhood :0. I was surprised and he was very excited. He must have read from the books to me for thirty minutes. He especially enjoyed the insight on what pregnant women obsess about, their hormonal highs and lows, and what he should be careful of......nice.

False Positive

On Friday, August 17th I really thought I saw a faint positive. I was reservedly excited and thought of how I could surprise Michael. It was all in my little head when I saw a light pink line because Aunt Flow came to visit on Sunday. Darn that little witch! Anyhoo, its on to month two of trying to conceive.

First Big FAT Negative

On Tuesday night, we received our first BFN, not that I am happy about that at all. As I said earlier, there was much hype and teasing about Michael and I trying to conceive. This tends to build up the anticipation and on Tuesday night, Michael could take it no more. Around 10pm, we scurried to the local Walgreen's and picked up the early pregnancy test. With only 8-9 days past ovulation, the likely hood of a positive test was slim. We took the test and a few minutes later no response, so its a BFN, big fat negative. Michael's response was "Oh well", I however didn't have that same response, :(
